A MONTH OF PRAYER FOR NAAS UNION
12 hours of prayer on 21st December
“Where two or three are gathered together in my name,
I am in the midst of them.” Matthew 18
This Advent, Naas Union is asking you to pray for its members, organisations, helpers, ministries and vision. In 2020, we are establishing a council which will help to co-ordinate various aspects of parish life . We need you to pray for God’s guidance so that whatever we decide is for God’s praise, glory & the building of His kingdom. On the 21st January 2020, we will have a meeting of parish representatives to discern God’s will in relation to a Parish Council so please remember that in your prayers.
Your prayer pack has further suggestions for prayer. We’ve included mustard seeds to be sown as a visible reminder of the power of prayer, recalling the words of Jesus “faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains” (Matthew, 17). The bag is scented with lavender, recalling psalm 141 “May my prayer be set before you like incense”.
Over Advent, the prayer tree at St. David’s is an opportunity to submit prayer requests at the Sunday service. You can also submit requests online at www.naasunion.com
On Wednesday 4th, 11th & 18th December at St David’s at 11.00am there will be a space for Bible study and prayers for the sick to which all are welcome.
The season concludes with “Christmas Spaces”. 12 hours of prayer will take place at St. David’s on Saturday 21st December from 8.00am to 8.00pm. The program will be available mid-December on the parish website and in church. It would be wonderful to have you there.
Daily prayer for the parish will accomplish much. As St. Paul said, “In everything, by prayer and supplication, let your requests be known to God” (Philippians 4).
